We consult with clients and process a career development workbook specifically identifying their topics, marketing materials and fee structure; we need this information to be able to speak intelligently to the meeting planners on your behalf. We consult with your personal goals, short term and long term. Our clients receive an industry specific database to work our marketing 200 program, designed to improve there current marketing program. Most speakers think referrals are marketing. It’s not! We discuss marketing plans for NEW BUSINESS.

We open doors for speakers through our graphics division by improving their current marketing materials to command those higher booking fees. We have been working with meeting planners through our marketing efforts for over 20 years. Our database is over 50,000.  Our leads from those efforts generate “Calls for Presentation” through our MARKETING EFFORTS.

As you know, there are no guarantees in the speaking industry. The only thing we can guarantee is that any time you are a good fit; we would submit you and do our best to secure you the booking. The meeting planners make the final decision.

It would be my pleasure to work with you to help you grow your career, think about your possibilities of gained business with a marketing company that can also submit you for bookings.

COMMON ERRORS SPEAKERS, TRAINERS AND CONSULTANTS MAKE

In notes on March 22, 2012 at 4:03 pm

Not Qualifying Prospects – Too much energy wasted on people who aren’t ready, able or willing to sign a contract.  Speakers, trainers/consultants need to state, up front, what their services are and find out whether what they’re selling is what the prospects wants and need.

Talking Too Much – Professional speakers/trainers have found the sooner they start asking questions and finding out whether or not their services meet the prospect’s needs, the more likely they are to get the engagement.

Focusing on Selling the Service Spending too much time explaining their services and forgetting that they are dealing with another human being.  Since most decisions have difficulty weighing the merits of one speaker/trainer over another, they look for someone they like and trust to help them make an informed decision.

Convincing and Persuading – When a speaker/trainer tries to convince or persuade, the natural response is resistance.  Sometimes Unconscious, but most of the time it is a conscious reaction. A speaker/trainer must learn to hear “no” and let the other person know that it is all right to say no if they don’t want the service right now.

Inferior Marketing Materials – Marketing materials should state the benefits of a speaker/trainer’s products or services.  Too many brochures are 80% about the person and 20% about their services.  They should be visually pleasing and address the benefits of the speaker’s program.

A Defensive Relationship – Speakers and trainers would do well to change their attitude from “selling their programs to discovering whether there’s a mutually beneficial basis for doing business.  As soon as prospect senses that the speaker is looking for a win-win situation, they start to trust and drop their defenses.

ISN Works presents LINDA HENLEY-SMITH

In notes, services on November 8, 2011 at 8:07 pm

Linda is an internationally known speaker, author and entertainer.  She has presented in all 50 states and in Europe, Mexico, Canada and Africa. Linda believes that we all should have fun in life, so she calls her business “For the Good Times.” She also believes that most of us allow excuses to prevent us from finding the success and joy that we deserve, and she calls these excuses big “buts.” Therefore, Linda has come to be known as the “But”-Kickin’ Motivator.

Linda brings music, humor and valuable life experiences to the platform. She has been a teacher and a counselor and has spent a lifetime in the entertainment business. She’s also gone through many traumas and dramas in her life…including losing everything and sleeping on the floor of an abandoned house. That’s why she knows for a fact, that laughter and an “attitude of altitude” are essential elements in living a balanced life and surviving; even thriving through change!

Linda offers keynotes and breakouts addressing stress management, humor in the workplace, life balance, communication, customer service, teambuilding and surviving change. You will be glad you invited Lind to share with your group because:

1. Linda will tailor her presentation to meet your event objectives. She will do her best to learn as much as possible about the audience so she can speak to their needs. If there is a theme to your event, Linda will work with you to create a title for her program, which will fit in with the theme and complement the rest of your event.

2. Linda’s programs are not just speeches, they are experiences! Using stories, music, props and other “fun stuff”, Linda’s presentations are designed to be experienced and remembered! Audiences will leave her programs with a renewed sense of fun and play and a reaffirmation of the power of laughter and an “attitude of altitude.” She is often brought in as a keynoter to open an event, providing participants with an energy that prepares them for the rest of the conference. She’s also a favorite as a closer, so that people leave the conference on a high note.

3. Linda takes audiences to the heights of all of their emotions. She has been called a master storyteller. As one participant explained, “During Linda’s program, we experienced one emotional high after another. We laughed until we cried and cried until we laughed! She touched that inner part of each of us that wanted to be reminded of the importance of humor and positive attitude.” Her message about getting what you want out of life is a powerful one which is delivered with just the right mix of comedy and pathos.

4. Linda believes that laughter should be a FUNdamental part of every event and meeting! It is a proven fact that happy people are more productive, creative and flexible. Those who know how to access joy in challenging situations are more able to go with the flow and are more receptive to new ideas and change. People will retain more of what you’re trying to teach them, if they are having a good time while they’re learning!

5. Linda loves what she does and it shows! She will do whatever it takes to help make your event a success and she’ll do it in an energetic, innovative and professional way. Speaking and entertaining are her passions and she considers it an honor to share them with audiences of all kinds.
